Wonderful locally owned couple cooking up amazing Thai food for our East Texas area! They aren't open everyday but makes it so much more special when they are. A great lunch if you find yourself downtown. #GoogleGal

Phenomenal! Just tried it for the first time and it was a great experience! Thai home style freshly made meals, it was an explosion of flavor, well seasoned. The pineapple i had was just filled with so much flavor. An experience ill have again on my next visit! Need to try it!

I have visited Little Thai House a few times and have never been disappointed. The owner is always very friendly, will share some good wisdom and local knowledge if you chat with him. Cozy little restaurant that is only open 11-2 Mon-Friday. Love the Pad Thai, but if you need something lighter the Tom Yum is great as well. (It is not fast food, but fresh and welcoming for a good sit down converation)

actually heard about this little spot in downtown Longview from a random person I met all the way up in Alaska! They told me they make it a point to stop here every time they’re in Texas, so of course I had to give it a try—and wow, it really does live up to the hype. Easily the best Thai food in Northeast Texas. I’ve only had the Massaman curry so far, but it’s absolutely incredible—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The portions are huge—one order of curry easily lasts me two meals. I always see people ordering the fried rice, and it looks amazing. The Pad Thai smells just as tempting, so I know I’ll be back to try more. The owners are so sweet and attentive, which makes the experience even better. The restaurant itself is small (only about 5–7 tables), so you may have to wait a bit for a spot, but it’s 100% worth it once you sit down. This is one of those hidden gems that’s worth going out of your way for—fantastic food, warm service, and huge portions. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Ordered the Drunken Noodles with pork. Very good, very spicy. It was an enormous portion, fresh and hot. A little pricey, but quality food. Friendly service.

Simple menu and expect to go over $20 per person, for lunch, this may not fit well but they are only open for lunch. Once I received my food, it was piled on, large portions. Expect slower service and food during peak hours because there’s one person in front and one person in kitchen. Good and tasty. Expect to be there to sit and relax and wait for your lunch, not for quick pick up or quick lunch hour. Friendly but I wasn’t ready to pay that much for lunch with entree and water.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Longview, Lil Thai House is a cozy Thai restaurant that delivers an authentic taste of Thailand with every dish. This locally owned gem, run by a passionate couple, offers a carefully curated menu that highlights bold flavors and fresh ingredients, reflecting true home-style Thai cooking. Their Pineapple Fried Rice bursts with a perfect balance of sweet and savory, while the Pad Thai—available with chicken or beef—is a masterclass in texture and seasoning. The Basil Chicken and Green Curry Stir Fry bring fragrant herbs and rich spices together beautifully, showcasing the depth of Thai cuisine.

What strikes me most about Lil Thai House is not just the food but the experience. The owners’ warmth and attentiveness create a welcoming atmosphere in their intimate space, making each visit feel special. The portions are generous, ideal for sharing or savoring later. The Thai Iced Tea is a sweet, creamy reprieve that complements the spicier items like the Beef Drunken Noodles or the Spicy Herb Chicken. For those seeking something lighter, the Tom Yum soup serves up a refreshing, tangy heat that cleanses the palate.

While the restaurant’s hours are limited to weekday lunch hours, that exclusivity adds to its charm. Each meal feels like a personal event, avoiding the fast-food rush in favor of fresh, made-to-order dishes that honor traditional recipes. Customers consistently praise the quality and flavor intensity—from the richly spiced Massaman Curry that lingers with warmth to the unmistakably bright burst of rambutan as a unique dessert option.

Lil Thai House isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a culinary stop where Thai culture shines through fresh ingredients and skilled cooking. Whether you’re craving savory Pad Thai, flavorful curries, or the aromatic Basil Fried Rice, this small downtown spot offers an immersive, satisfying experience. It’s no wonder diners from near and far return, celebrating the authentic tastes and heartfelt service found here in East Texas.
